In this study, the questionnaire was survey-based. The object was based on the parents of Taipei City private preschools. The main research tool was “Questionnaire of the Parents’ needs of the Parental Education and points of view for Family Education Center ” which was used to measure a sample of 529 parents, and finally 475 available copies of scales were adopted to collect data which was processed with SPSS. The data were statistically analyzed with descriptive statistics and t-test. In addition, document analysis was also employed to understand the information of how Taipei City Family Education Center promoting parental education in recent years. The main findings and conclusions are as following: 1.With the contents of parent education, parent’s main needs are “how to help children’s learning”, “to find children’s multiple intelligences”, and “the methods of discipline”. 2.Most of Parents had no encountering experience with Taipei Family Education Center. 3.The forms of parent education that most of parents prefer are excursion and lesson. 4.The paths for obtaining parent education information that most of parents prefer was through internet. 5.The best time for parent education activities that parents prefer are daytime of weekend. 6.The best time period for parent education activities that parents prefer are around 2 or 3 hours. 7.As far as, the stage of preschool education had not included in the Family Education Center’s duty and responsibility.
