Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the current condition and the relevance of idol worship and peer relations of the high grade elementary school students and how they were different with environment variables. In order to reach the study purpose, this study chose survey method: “The Questionnaire of the high grade elementary school students’ Idol worship and Peer relations” developed by the researcher. The study objects were the elementary school fifth and sixth graders in Pingdong County. The effective samples were 646 in total. According to the result of the questionnaire, the following conclusions were gained by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation method, and the regression analysis in multiple steps. According to the result of the analyzed data, conclusions were drawn as follows: 1. The high grade elementary school students were not enthusiastic about idol worship, and they had higher interest in “Attending or Receiving”; male, TV/Movie stars follow, talented or capable idol who were more popular. 2. The high grade elementary school students thought their peer relations comparatively good, especially in “Loved or Attracted”. 3. The high grade elementary school students who are female and laissez-faire parenting style were more enthusiastic about idol worship. 4. The high grade elementary school students who are female, sixth graders and strict authoritarian parenting style thought their peer relations better. 5. The high grade elementary school students were more enthusiastic about idol worship, the better peer relations they got. 6. The higher degree of students’ attention on idol’s information, the better peer relations they got. Finally, according to the study result, this study provided suggestions for elementary school teachers, parents and future researchers Key words: idol worship, peer relations
