Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育學系 === 100 === A Study on the Relationship between Gender Knowledge and Gender Stereotypes of Pingtung County Elementary School Senior Class Students Abstract The purpose of the study is to explore the current status about the gender knowledge and the gender stereotypes of Pingtung County elementary school senior class students, analyze the differences of students’ the gender knowledge and the gender stereotypes by looking at students’ diverse backgrounds, and discuss the relationship between the gender knowledge and the gender stereotypes . This research adopted the method of questionnaire survey and investigated 946 senior class students from 21 public elementary schools in Pingtung County. The data were collected and analyzed by the statistical methods including descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression. The main study results are stated as follows: 1. Pingtung County elementary school senior class students have good gender knowledge. 2. Pingtung County elementary school senior class students possess lower degree of gender stereotypes. 3. For Pingtung County elementary school senior class students , female, sixth-grade students, in town area, and at high family socio-economic status show higher correct rate in the gender knowledge. 4. For Pingtung County elementary school senior class students , male, fifth-grade students, in remote area, and at low family socio-economic status perform higher degree of the gender stereotypes. 5. Pingtung County elementary school senior class students perceive higher correct rate in the gender knowledge, and then have lower degree of the gender stereotypes. 6. The gender knowledge of Pingtung County elementary school senior class students can effectively predict the gender stereotypes of ones. At last, based on the study findings, the researcher has provided suggestions to educational institutes, elementary school teachers and future studies authors.
