Most razors are designed to attract male users by their functions, but the feeling and experience of users in using razor are usually neglected. It becomes an important issue to the designers that how can they figure out the sense and imagination of user and integrate them into product design. This study aims to discover the design elements of razor. The research method takes advantage of questionnaire. A list of Kansei words was collected and a questionnaire of 80 Kansei words was produced. The results of questionnaire were analyzed by using factor analysis, and 9 major factors were discovered. The most important factor is “the sense of smooth”. Finally, Quantification Type I was used to convert the 9 major factors into a list of design elements, such as the length, weight etc. The contribution of this study is to provide a method for the designers in the design of razor. By following the design method, the designers are able to consider the complex relationship between the users and the product.
