Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣體育運動大學 === 休閒運動管理研究所 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the elementary school students’ motivation of participation in recess sports clubs and factors of barriers to sports perception. The 285 participants were in the fifth and sixth graders from five public elementary school in Taichung City and the study was investigated through questionnaires. The results presented : 1) the average score of “Health orientation” in students’ motivation of participation in recess sports clubs is the highest, 2) there is a significant difference between the elementary school students’ motivation of participation in recess sports clubs and the variables, 3) the average score of “Lack of opportunities” in factors of barriers to sports perception reaches the top, 4) there is a significant difference between the elementary school students’ motivation of participation in recess sports clubs and the variables of factors of barriers to sports perception. Therefore, recess time in elementary schools is the important time that students cultivated their habits of exercising. Furthermore, there would be more positive influence on students’ motivation if teachers and school administrative staff design multiple and interesting sports curriculum.
