| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 教育測驗統計研究所 === 99 === The purpose of this research aims at building a test on the concept of multiplication of mathematics for lower grade students in the elementary schools. Based on the test, the analysis of the statistical results of the tests and the statistical results of the items can be generated. TESTER2 software in item analysis and OxEdit software in the G-DINA model are used to analyze how the third-grade students react to the items on the test. The test results can show how well the students understand the concept of the multiplication so the catch-up learning can focus on what they don’t understand or don’t know. Based on the test results, some students don’t have the basic concept of multiplication in mind. They are unable to understand the meaning of the conversion from four times two to double four, and have the confusion of unit whole and number of units when encountering multiplicative problems.
