Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 國語文學系碩士班 === 100 === Hsi Mu-Ren returned to her hometown Mongolia in 1989. After this, she wrote a considerable number of works about Mongolia. These works turn a vague sense of homesickness in her early times into concrete hometown writing. For many years, she has been expressing her concerns about hometown by writing. She wrote all that she saw and heard during every trip to Mongolia to show Mongolia’s real situation, as well as her experience of returning home. First, this thesis discusses the background of Hsi, Mu-Ren’s hometown writing. The author divided the materials collected into four aspects - pieced homesickness, shattered hometown, reflection and memory towards people and Mongolian customs. Then, the author utilized thematic research method, analytical deductive method and document proof method to analyze the contents and meanings of Hsi Mu-Ren’s hometown writing works. Finally, the author proposed a conclusion and vision towards this study. It is hoped that this study can open a new field of view and serve as references for future researchers.
