The proposed monopole antenna ground portion is to be grounded to the system ground plane of the device for practical applications. For the requirement of multi-band, it adds parasitic folded branches to increase resonating current paths. The size of the proposed PIFA and the ground plane are 38 mm × 22 mm × 5.8mm and 43 mm × 22 mm. Moreover, the antenna has a nearly omni-directional radiation pattern and a reasonable peak gain of 1.7dBi to 4.2dBi by the simulation results. To attain the wide bandwidth of low frequency from 830 MHz frequency band can be effectively integrated in PIFA antenna. By embedding a chip inductor into the PIFA antenna, whose resonant mode is generated between the circuit and the monopole circuit. By using the reactance feed, the monopole antenna can be well incorporated into the antenna structure. The proposed antenna was fabricated on a FR4 substrate, the overall size of the antenna is 75 × 22 × 5.8 mm3.
