This research adopts experimental teaching method. Students learn the concepts of multiplication and division at same time. The results of this experiment are described by quality and quantity. As for quantitative analysis, there are post-test and retention- test of multiplicative and divisional problems for judging the effectiveness of the experiment. As for qualitative analysis, there is a conversation between the researcher and students for understanding the problem-solving process of students. Important findings of this study are as follows: 1. According to the scores of post-test and retention-test, using multiplicative strategy to solve the multiplicative and divisional problems can enhance the students'' problem-solving ability. 2. Learning the concepts of multiplication and division at same time can help students understand the correlation between multiplication and division. 3. Using the multiplicative strategy to solve the multiplicative and divisional problems can help students figure out the unit “how to list equations” in the fifth grade. Additionally, using multiplicative strategy to solve multiplicative and divisional problems can improve the ability of solving all of the correlative problems, such as the equation problems that is a study for the students in junior high school.
