Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 體育學系 === 100 === This study is based on research of the Two Guang Provinces Martial Arts Awakening Lion Association to Taiwan from Guangxi and Guangdong, through field investigation and analysis of related texts. The purposes of this study are: 1. How Awakening Lion came into Taiwan. 2. Research how the social, economic and political influences caused the rise and adaptation of the Two Guang Provinces Martial Arts Awakening Lion Association in Taiwan. 3. Discuss the origins of the Taiwan Lion Awakening Association and the Taipei Two Guang Provinces Awakening Lion Association in Taiwan, as well as how the evolvement of the Lion Dance groups management styles and appearances of the groups changed throughout generations of time. Through in-depth interviews with nine individuals and analysis of many newspapers and magazine reports, I have arrived at the following conclusions: 1. As the Chinese mainlanders Awakening Lion Association brought their folk culture into the society of Taiwan, and experienced government transitions, the Two Guang Provinces Awakening Lion Association spread and enjoyed great development among the Chinese in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaya and other areas. 2. The Taipei Two Guang Provinces Awakening Lion Association was a place for cultural expression, relaxation, and entertainment. Later on the association became a center of service to the country and society, eventually gaining fame worldwide. 3. After the Two Guang Provinces Awakening Lion Association became famous around the world, their stage equipment and dance props became a standard for imitation among various Taiwan Dancing Lion groups. They also evolved from a free service organization to a group with paid performances. With the transition to an organization for profit, the Taipei Two Guang Provinces Awakening Lion Association also changed their management style. 4. As requests for instructional assistance from the Taipei Two Guang Provinces Awakening Lion Association increased, students seeking martial arts careers multiplied and it became difficult to maintain a unified management and performance style. The students often integrated the Malaysian styles into their performances , which increased the differences between the two groups.
