A total numbers of 66, 582 unigenes with mean length of 603 bp were obtained from the Illumina sequencing, in this study. Based on our results of the gene expression analysis, the NNV infection affect the gene expression pattern of many components of host, revealed that the regulation in TLR-like and RIG-I-like pathways. The innate-immune related genes such as MDA5, TLR3, and IRF3 were up-regulated at 6 hours and further at 33 hours post-NNV infection. The up-regulation of NF-κB and further detection of IL-1β indicated an inflammatory response during NNV infection. These results from the transcriptome and expression profiles can facilitate in understanding of the mechanisms involved in the virus-host interactions of the NNV infection of groupers.
