Forty-five non-English majors completed a questionnaire about the Tense Buster and grammar learning and eleven of them were interviewed. Results from independent-samples t-tests indicated that grammar learning is important and grammar exercises are helpful for learning English. Students learn grammar rules from the Tense Buster and understand their own grammar mistakes during the learning process. The findings stress the importance of learning English grammar in web-based settings and provide suggestions for instructors who want to incorporate web-based learning into language courses to increase students’ learning motivation.
