Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 幼兒與家庭教育學系碩士班 === 100 === Teaching approaches practiced in this graduate school can be characterized with action researches for the early childhood insect teaching infused within the life education which designs the activity curriculum in addition to proceeding to unit teaching. Therefore 27 mix-aged 4-5years children in a certain public kindergarten at Shulin district of New Taipei City were adopted as research participants, and a dynamic cycling journey based upon “planning, action, observation and reflection” from the action researches was also used to proceed to activity curriculum in addition to constantly amending the teaching strategies. Hence the main objectives for this research reside at:
1. Develop the “Insect teaching infused within life education” curriculum suitable to preschooler’s learning as the core for school-based curriculum.
2. Explore the journey of action research during implementation for “Life education infused within insect teaching” in the kindergarten.
3. Through kindergarten implementation of the curriculum of “Life education infused with insect teaching”, it is expected that it can raise the level in attitudes for young children toward revering all lives and caring about the insects.
Researchers will summarize the life education significances like “Men and others—caring for others” and “Men and environment—caring for natural environment” adaptable to the early childhood phase as the educational objectives. Insect teaching will be employed as the strategy and composite summarization of the research findings will derive from observations, interviews, learning lists, early childhood artworks, parental feedbacks, collaborative researchers’ comments and the teaching reflections from the researchers:
1. The life education infused into insect teaching can meet the demands from early childhood education objectives.
2. The life education infused into insect teaching can facilitate the contents and implementations of “respecting the life”, “caring others” and “loving the environment” during early childhood.
3. Through the teaching implementation and reflection from action research, it can raise the level of teacher’s professional knowledge.
4. Infrequent incidents in life can be good subjects for the curriculum design of life education infused with insect teaching.
5. “Insect teaching” can be applied as kindergarten based curriculum.
Lastly, according to the research journey and the findings, recommendations concerning this research will be proposed so as to serve as references for future planning of related curriculums as well as follow-up researches.
