The qualitative research approach was used for conducting the study. The research participants were the children from the preschool where the researcher works. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documents and filed notes. The following research questions were discussed: 1. How did the researcher develop the homeland culture curriculum? 2. What was the content of the homeland culture curriculum ? 3. What was the researcher’s reflection on this study? The results of this study showed that: (1) the homeland culture curriculum was implemented systematically through the thematic teaching “Long Tan Township”. The children’s understanding of the local culture was shown in their pictures of local folk stories. (2) through the homeland activities, the children constructed a link of their concept and feelings of homeland. (3) the children’s perspectives on their homeland were shown in the picture book which was created cooperatively by themselfes.
