碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 數學暨資訊教育學系(含數學教育碩士班) === 100 === This study aimed to investigate the performance in the folding and nets of spatial ability for 30 primary teachers and 821 school children from Northern Taiwan.To get more in for semi-consture inter views were conducted.To get more information about their problem solving strategies and error types. The results of the study are shown as follows: 1.The performance in two-dimension is better than three-dimension and the performance in foldingis slightly superior to nets for teachers. 2.The performance in two-dimension is better than three-dimension and the performance in nets is superior to folding for students. 3.There is no significant difference between students instructed by mathematical and non-mathematical teachers while there is significant difference between male and female teachers. 4.The strategies of problem solving in folding and nets tests between teachers and students are similar but there are more correct strategies and less error types for teachers. The conclusion of the study is expected to provide new perception of the folding and unfolding nets for teachers and students and for the education institute as the reference for teachers further education and investigation.
