This study aims to investigate the current status of Keelung elementary schools in their emotional management and job satisfactions, by way of surveying perceptions expressed by the teachers of attending those schools. This study applied research methodology conducting analysis of variables to yield predictability and correlations between them. A total of 500 surveys were distributed to teachers in 23 elementary schools in Keelung. A total return of 454 copies was collected, at a high response rate of 91%. Statistical tools employed to run the sample data thus collected from the answers to questions on the survey are: t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The research thus yields the following results.
1. Teachers expressed good receptions of schools’ emotional management, showing better responses to emotional awareness than to emotional expression.
2. Teachers expressed good receptions of schools’ job satisfaction, showing better responses to personal relationship than to incentive promotion.
3. There is a high positive correlation between emotional management and job satisfaction..
4. Emotional management has a high predictive power relating to job
satisfaction. The higher the awareness of emotional management,
the better the job satisfaction.
5.Emotional awareness has the most effective predictive power relating
to job satisfaction .
