Those who support Taiwanese Minnan Romanization claim that Taiwanese language test should only be conducted in Taiwanese Minnan Romanization version. Taiwanese General Romanization supporters, however, advocate that both Taiwanese General Romanization version and Taiwanese Minnan Romanization version could coexist. In 2010, Ministry of Education approved the Taiwanese Minnan Romanization test twice, and one of them was conducted by the Taiwanese General Romanization team. This research aims to discuss whether or not the Taiwanese General Romanization team can achieve the coexisting ideal policy and execute the Taiwanese Minnan Romanization test. This research’s methods include archive analysis and the questionnaire methods. The main findings are as follows. 1. The total test satisfaction was 86%. Taiwanese General Romanization team successfully execute the Taiwanese Minnan Romanization test. 2. 87% of the examinees claimed that the test could improve the professional competence of Taiwanese. 3. 85% of the examinees claimed that the test was helpful for teaching . 4. As for the test performance, 76% of the examinees achieved the high-intermediate level. 5. 84% of the examinees agreed that Taiwanese language test should provide test-takers with both Taiwanese General Romanization version and Taiwanese Minnan Romanization version to choose. 6. 52% of the examinees claimed that Taiwanese General Romanization was easier to be taught while only 35% of the examinees thought that Taiwanese Minnan Romanization was easier to be taught. 7. 88% of the examinees said they would like to take the next Taiwanese Minnan Romanization test. 8. 89% of the examinees said they would like to recommend other teachers to take the test. 9. 60%of the examinees agreed that there should be a Taiwanese General Romanization version test for children; 69%of the examinees agreed that there should be a Taiwanese Minnan Romanization version test for children.
