Due to smartphone development icreased and strong competition and its user interface design more and more diverse.The product related research become more important in user interface, whether design to understand and operate easily in usability or interface elements.
The main purpose of this study to be confirm:
(1) To understand the consumer of the functional requirement of smartphone between differences in preferences and use status, as the reference for the future of menu design structure.
(2) To be summarized the menu icon colors and visual thinking by gathering the menu design interface, and to understand the designers and users between differences by testing and analysis.
(3) According to the testing result, to offer the smart phone designed for the influence of the performance. Such as the influence of operating performance of menu icon recognizable and visibility to provide the design proposal.
(4) According to the research conclusion to provide the improvement proposal of the smart phone interface icon design, to increased the satisfaction in the user friendly and easy to use portion.
The research test and analysis by the questionnaire survey,and the results are summarized as follows:
(1)The different age level and experience user with test sample have obvious difference, through the simple interface easy to learn and let more user use easily.
(2) The design icon of smartphone menu should be more generic or more high distinguish or more high visibility, and it could be help user to find the target quickly.
(3)If icon is low visibility color, and it could not only add the white solid color, but also increase the brightness.On the other hand,if icon is high visibility color,and it could not only reduce the black solid color,but also decrease the buightness.
(4)User interface for satisfaction and operating performance are consistent, showing the usability of smartphone on menu design interface is the main considerations for users.
(5)Base on different groups refer to menu function demand priority, the researchers considered expect to be customized, let users not only place menu position by themselves, but also allow the highest utilization rate of the menu functions on the home page of the menu items, and so on, the last page to place the most unnecessarly or the most frequently used menu functions.the way could raise users operating convenience and timeliness to achieve the funcionsl requirements of human design.
The research results will provide the innovative design of the reference application and propositional information for the future in this area designers and industrys.
