| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士班 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to construct a wet site for an NPO. The free content management system, Joomla!, was employed to demonstrate how to build a web site that meets the need of the NPO at minimum cost and with minimum technical skills. The case was a social welfare institution in Taitung, and the system was developed using the prototyping method.
In this research, related literature was first reviewed. After the research questions and objectives were confirmed, a questionnaire was administered to users of the original web site of this NPO. The author analyzed the collected responses to induce the systematic needs of the users and “The Top 10 Aspects of Functional Design” for NPO web site construction. Further, the author discussed and brainstormed with organizational members to find all possible approaches to improving the current web site.
In the development stage of prototyping, the author progressively built the system through repetitive testing and modifications. After the web site went online, another survey was administered to users of the web site. Based on the survey results, the author finally proposed some conclusions and suggestions on subsequent improvement of the web site system.
