In 1998, he won the Newbery Medal Award, the highest award in children`s literature for his novel Holes. This has firmly established his position in children`s literature. In addition to the usual humorous and interesting style in Sachar`s works, there is constant innovation in postmodern form and content, which is the direction of this research. This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter discusses people living in a postmodern society. Postmodernism is a kind of cultural thought and presentation of art that can be found in music, movies, paintings, architecture and literature. The second chapter introduces Sachar`s life and works.
