Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 商學研究所 === 100 === Backpacking is different from the group tourist. It is a flexible and personalized form of traveling. Backpackers can decide their own schedule that they are interested in. To them, the most important purposes for traveling is to have more interactive experiences with locals and explore more about cultures in the world. Because of this reason, there are more and more people become backpackers to have this fascinating experience. However, backpacking has much preparation to do, including collecting information of must-see sights and remarks for local traveling. With information explosion on internet, backpackers face with the problem that they can’t find the useful information they need effectively. Also, they are exposed to potential danger while traveling alone. In order to solve the problems, this paper develops an information platform and a business model called TravelOnly. It helps backpackers plan their schedule with local tourist information based on their location and keep track of their travels. By giving the features, personal recommend system, advertisement certification, background music, and information sharing, it provides backpackers values with personalized service, secured and dependable information, cultural deep-dive, and online community.
