Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊工程學研究所 === 100 === This thesis presents the TriopusNet system - an autonomous, self-deployable,self-configurable , mobile wireless sensor networking system for pipeline monitoring. The unique aspect of the Triopus sensor node is its mechanical arms, thus enabling the node to attach itself onto the pipe’s inner surface and to create a self-deployment system with minimal human effort. We have evaluated the TriopusNet system by building and collecting real data from an experimental pipeline test bed. Results show that the TriopusNet system can efficiently cover a sensing area using a small number of nodes while maintaining high-quality network connectivity. The TriopusNet system is also able to recover from network disconnection caused by a battery-depleted node and successfully replaced the battery-depleted node with a fresh node.
