Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 美術創作碩士班在職專班 === 100 === Backtracking to the Primary is the research topic in practice of my creative works, which concerning the inner experiences of life. First, by looking the development of author’s own experience, after using several reflections on the intimate life, we will focus on this question: how the primary impression of life has been formed upon? Then I internalize it as a spindle for the creative discussion. Secondly, on the creation in practice, by looking the variety of natural form as a visual representation, I descript a feature of Autopoiesis, a kind of self-causality in creation of art (automatic technique) to symbolize the vitality of which the world and universe we live in. Because of the self-causal features, there are mental landscapes on the scene of painting, derived from which are the varieties of poetic tone: shape, color and the aggregation of emotion, and they interwoven into a primary internal impress, as if it is automatic performance in the creation process. My research of the creative work, through Backtracking to the Primary, i.e., to try to contrast the artist's own life to all beings in the universe, may be labeled the forest pool as a metaphor, by which we explore the intimate relationship between the self and the nature. By the intimate relationship we could also call it the artist's inner child. Based on these notions, which unfold in our discussion and practice in my creative work, both are closely related to each other, we will constitute a most primary force to internalize the life, this is the starting point for my art works with a typical expression. This research consists with three chapters: The Primary Inquiry, Transformation of Reflection on the Primary, and Course of Internalization of the Primary. In order to overcome the bottleneck of my creation, I have to illustrate my philosophy and the context of my creative works, by remixing authentically the artistic thinking and the flesh life into a true fusion as a whole, and therefore by that I can hope I do backtrack to the primary to look for the future.
