Among them, painting Door Gods is the most important and the most attractive place in the temple decoration, gorgeous and solemn colors and changing the shape of people fascinated, can be said that the essence of the temple painting focus. Because of the doors for many years by day and night affected by exposure to hot and humid climate in Taiwan, generally painting keeper works are difficult to preserve. But also lamented the temples renovated and more for the sake of novelty, any coverage of the original paintings or change to a three-dimensional copper shape resulting in the masterpiece lost. In order to timely capture with the passage of time paintings, thereby actively with the keeper of the study of Door Gods painting. In recent years, the national cultural and creative industries have been the rise of this creative research into the “Old is New”, old stuff, new moving concepts to traditional painting cultural background, painting Door Gods combined with traditional Chinese Zodiac animal shape to modern Q-version of the comic style, to create a picture of the full of witty and funny performance. Subverting the old shape of painting Door Gods to be innovative in the past. Analytical data from the literature, step by step to clarify the historical context of Taiwan painting Door Gods of artistic creation, the creation of a more practical fieldwork, the gradual completion of Northern, Central, Southern Taiwan, historic monuments temple keeper recent survey, thus achieving the understanding of traditional painting in Taiwan life , and its artistic impact and value. By the results of the study of the creation, allows people to more easily understand the system painting Door Gods in Taiwan as well as its role story, but also help promote Taiwan’s traditional painting culture.
