Furthermore, the introduction of third generation transmission protocol extends the territory of Personal Digital Assistant(PDA)and satisfy the desire to surf internet wirelessly. The communication between PDA and other digital devices also becomes unobstructed because of the development of wireless broadband technology such as Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11. Therefore, the roadmap of PDA has gradually appeared and along with the acceleration of wireless communication, the market of the devices which integrated sound, image, GPS, finger print recognition and Bluetooth will be booming in the nearly future. This research uses a Taiwanese leading PDA manufacturer as an example to discuss the strategies which the company applies from entering the market to become the world leading company in this field and also analyze its strategy of adopting Microsoft Win CE platform to against and finally conquer the Palm system which was monopolized the market at that time. This thesis focuses on the competitive strategy and the operation model of this company applies on its different steps of qualitative change and detailed records and analyzes its path from an unknown OEM growing to a public offering company which has the highest stock market price. It is hoped that through the completion of this study, the model used to get success can be obtained. In addition, the findings can be compared with the academic theories in order to have contributions for the business.
