Early literature has mention that IS recruiters are always looking for new-hires with substantial knowledge of specific software and can utilize it for carrying out the job assigned immediately. And one wondering thing is that both high human resource requirement and high unemployment rate are observed in Taiwan. It means that our students can’t learn enough skills or knowledge to do their job well after long time academic career. There are perception gaps in the required skills and knowledge of students between academia and industry. However, there aren’t any indices can reflect this fact in teaching performance evaluation in academia. The study using “education gaps” as outside index of teaching performance evaluation and concert with enterprise to evaluate teaching outcome in industry view. This study use system development and presentation method to construct a framework to evaluate teaching performance with outside corporations by analysis education gaps as an index. We built an electronic system as analytical platform and coded paired-questionnaire in the system to collected data, compared results of student and their mentor, analysis the gaps and then display. We demonstrated information quality and developed the third and forth level of Kirkpatrick model in the end. We asked students who has studied in NTUST dep.MIS as our sample, and quoted UCAN occupation-questionnaire to investigate education gaps then we got conclusions below: (1) The system can find out the gaps of skills/knowledge and their trend. (2) The system can find out the hidden gaps by using sample attribute analysis. (3) Education gap fits for teaching performance evaluation. (4) The system provides effective information to help decision making. After run system and displayed, we achieved following contribution: (1) Arrange and classify the literature of teaching performance evaluation. (2) Constructs a framework to evaluate teaching performance. (3) Building the education gaps analysis system and demonstrate information quality. (4) Provides information for education decision making.
