How to predict this phenomenon effectively and accurately is one of the urgent key problems to be solved for the development of this process. By the use of this FE simulation system, a bending process of thin-wall tube had been simulated, and deformed process were recorded under different bending stages. As a result, the stress distribution along the bending direction, and the relationship between the wall thickness variation and cross-section deformation had been obtained, and could thus judge the feasibility of every manufacturing procedure. The experimental results of thin-walled tube bending process were compared with the simulation results. The results of both after compensation were agreeable. The manufacturers can hopefully apply these results to the bending process of stainless tube manufacturing.
