Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 100 === The purpose of this study is to establish the seismic performance evaluation method for chloride-induced and carbonation-induced deteriorating reinforced concrete (RC) school buildings. The method uses the deterioration prediction model of reinforced concrete and the appearance of deterioration degree to estimate the corrosion of RC columns and then simulates the reduction factors for the hinge properties of corroded RC columns. For practical convenience, this proposed method has been combined with the seismic performance evaluation method developed by National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering in Taiwan (NCREE) to evaluate deteriorating RC school buildings’ seismic performance. In addition, the authors also propose the seismic performance evaluation method for earthquake-damaged RC school buildings in this study. According to the seismic damage state of RC columns and their corresponding strength reduction factors, suggested by Japan Building Disaster Prevention Association, the authors use the seismic performance evaluation method developed by NCREE to evaluate the earthquake-damaged RC buildings’ seismic performance. Above all, the seismic performance evaluation procedure proposed by this study can consider the effect induced by "deterioration" or "seismic damage " on the seismic performance of RC school buildings.
