During the study, the researcher administered a technology-assisted translation project by engaging three freelance translators in the editing of Trados WinAlign auto-generated translation alignments. The participants were instructed to detect the translation equivalence modes (i.e., Full-Formal, Semi-Formal, Semi-Dynamic, Full-Dynamic) by editing the incorrect alignments across three different text types (i.e., informative, expressive, operative), and to provide a brief written rationale for each of their decisions. After the translation project, an interview was conducted with each of the participants. The data obtained from the interviews revealed that Trados WinAlign’s manual alignment correction method can indeed serve as a digital graphic interface tool to assist in the exploration, recognition, and/or reinforcement of the translation equivalence concept. Based on these findings, suggestions for future researches are provided at the end of the study. Rebecca Wen-Jiun Huang 黃玟君 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 75 en_US
