碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 100 === International trade activities flourished because of prosperous information and market opening, to enable enterprises to break through national boundaries, the whole world will be regarded as a single global market, purchasing or production in different countries and marketing the product to the whole world. The new change is in order to accommodate operational types, centralizing scientific and technological development、industrial processing and commerce trade in the Free Trade Zone(FTZ) and set around the world. There set up free harbor or free trade zones which from neighboring China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States and Europe, in order to provide comprehensive logistics services. It is attraction for global operations multinational enterprise. Because this free trade zone has preferential tax measures, and manufacturers execute a certain extent of value-added processing behavior. There are 5 Free Trade Zone harbor in operation Taiwan. Taichung Port is located in the middle of Taiwan and is connected with Cingcyuangang International Airport by an expressway, making it highly convenient for sea/air joint shipment. It is also situated at the midway point on the Shanghai-Hong Kong shipping route, and is close to all the harbors on mainland China’s southeastern coast. This puts Taichung Port in an excellent position to serve direct shipping between Taiwan and China, once such shipping is instituted. Direct air links cross-strait after signing Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA). Taichung harbor has the best location advantage and gives it vast sea and land areas as well as a powerful potential for development as a regional re-export processing and logistics center. However, this research would be focused on the main competitive harbors and analyzes for the present development of Taiwan Free Trade Zone. We also provide some suggestions for furture research to refer through SWOT analysis.
