The Taiwanese government has established several Senior Adult Learning Centers around the nation. This study examines the relationships between learning motivations and the sense of well-being of senior learners who participated in learning activities hosted by the Centers in New Taipei City. The study looked into why senior learners came to the Centers and how they felt about their sense of well-being after attending the learning activities. A survey was performed with 414 samples collected. The results of the canonical correlation analysis suggests that when senior learners had stronger learning motivations concerned with “looking for a meaningful life,” they would sense more well-being concerned with “interpersonal relationship” after attending the learning activities. Therefore, it is suggested that authorities can attract seniors to Senior Adult Learning Centers by emphasizing that they can live more meaningfully by attending the learning activities. Meanwhile, learning activities can be designed to provide seniors with more opportunities to have interpersonal interactions that will efficiently increase their sense of well-being. In comparison to previous literature, the research design of this study generates results that provide authorities with the practical suggestions for relevant management decision-making.
