Methods: 40 junior high school rugby players in the study were randomly assigned as follows: the experimental group (N = 20, mean age: 14.10 0.85 years, height: 167.53 5.36 cm, weight: 58.38 10.23 kg) and the control group (N = 20, mean age: 14.15 0.67 years, height: 165.86 8.91 cm, weight : 61.79 10.15 kg) All subjects maintain a ragular rugby training, and the experimental group was involved in another eight weeks of core muscle training. (Three times a week and 30 minutes each time) Results: After the experimental group involved in the eight-week core muscles training, there was showed significant improvement ( p< .05 ) on grip force (from 36.62 6.28 kg to 41.35 6.33kg ), sit-ups ( from 39.45 6.73 beats/min to 52.40 6.87 beats/min ), 50 meter sprint ( from 7.76 .54sec to 7.28 .43 sec ) , standing long jump ( from 191.90 25.83cm to 200.75 25.55cm ), 10 meters exhumation ( from 10.50 .76s to 10.38 .76 sec ), handball throw ( from 22.22 4.32cm to 25.97 3.73cm ) and eyes closed, single-foot station ( from 39.11 21.20sec to 56.55 23.53 sec ) of teenaged rugby players. Conclusions: Been involved in eight weeks and three times a week of core muscle training helps teenaged rugby players to enhance muscular strength, muscular endurance, speed, power, agility, coordination and balance and other special physical abilities.
