Let one reader as the target of mining and a method is presented to mine association rules with weighted interest-items whose antecedents are contained in the reader’s borrowing history record. According to the characteristics of the association rules with weighted interest-items, we can find the adaptive books recommendations for the reader. A mining system is designed and constructed to find readers’ adaptive books recommendations according to the presented method. The results of the mining can provide very useful information to plan readers’ adaptive books recommendations for libraries
