Setup the rule of emotional display is important for organization managers in medical service industries. The effect of emotional regulation on workers has received considerable attention. Some studies extend the relationship between emotional labor and enhancing emotional exhaustion and restrain job satisfaction. This study’s result would make some suggestions for managers in medical center who make the projects for promoting job satisfaction and reducing emotional exhaustion for nurses. Subjects: This study's subjects are nurses from two medical centers, one from north Taiwan and one from mid Taiwan, and have worked for the medical center for over a year. Methods: Data collected from structured questionnaires in cross-sectional approach and were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation regression, moderated multiple regression and structural equation modeling. Results: The results show that emotional labors of nurses are positively related to job satisfaction, and negatively related to emotional exhaustion. Furthermore, surface acting is positively related to job satisfaction, but negatively related to emotional exhaustion; while deep acting is positively related to emotional exhaustion. Of all the Nurses’ job resources, only supervisor support demonstrates moderating effect for the relationship between emotional labor and emotional exhaustion.
