| Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 工業設計學系 === 100 === Our nation’s bicycle industry is undergoing a phase of industrial transformation; product development module is gradually shifting from OEM to ODM, where develop design and manufacturing is commissioned by the client. After cumulating experiences from research & development, and the closing of margin between industrial chain and the market, Taiwan should deliver more effort toward its own branding & manufacturing(OBM). However, the majority of Taiwanese bicycle industry comes from SMEs; if they were to achieve OBM through organization patterns from OEM or ODM, would it definitely be creating various obstacles within the designing process of research & development.
This research explores bicycle companies as individual case representatives,through interviewing with experts & literature review, and converg the dictation data with Protocol Analysis. Eventually, protocol analysis shall be processed through the Likert scale in order to obtain crucial analytic result, and to be integrated and utilized with Quality Function Deployment (QFD), aimed to obtain the relation intensity value between design process & design factors. This result may become the basis of vital sequencing process in the design process evaluation.
This research explores 4 bicycle companies cultivated with different modules of OEM, ODM & OBM as individual case representatives.There are five parts to the result of this research: The first result is focused on the reference of transformation strategy.The second result is comparing the development & exchange process and the internal organizational process among all types of industries. The third and forth result is to be presented in project ordinance, revealing the common designing factors & strategic projects from all companies. The final result receiving criticality analysis of the designing process which is a beneficial reminder to the designers; measures the importance of self-designing task and designer needs, to avoid designing defects.
