碩士 === 東海大學 === 中國文學系 === 100 === Abstract This dissertation will take the Gao Qing Qiu 's poetry anthology as a sample, analyze the the subject”contradiction between functionary and recluse”. This dissertation will divide into seven chapters: The contents of first chapter are research motive, present situation of research and analysis, dissertation construction and research aim. The second chapter narrates the Gao Qing Qiu 's writings, as well as the Gao Qing Qiu 's interpersonal relationship. The third chapter will discuss origin and evolution for the hermit life. First，defines significance of hermit and the origin of hermit . Furthermore, discuss the evolution and changing of hermit life in all previous dynasties, and characteristic of each stage. The fourth chapter will narrate the first stage of Gao Qing Qiu 's solitary life . First, is the description of poems under tranquil mood. Next ,for the tumultuous times，end of Yuan dynasty，peers consoles by the poems and liquor. Third，will narrate Gao Qing Qiu 's care for livelihood of the people in his poems.Final，after Zhang Shi Cheng 's rout, Gao Qing Qiu must face the the change of all new Ming dynasty. The fifth chapter will narrate Gao Qing Qiu 's official career. First，positive domain of his poems. Next，contradiction in Gao Qing Qiu 's mind：to be a official in Nanjing，or return to his hometown，the south of Yangzi River. Third, will discuss Gao Qing Qiu 's poetry which wrote to colleagues of Government. The sixth chapter is the second stage of Gao Qing Qiu 's solitary life . First, Gao Qing Qiu enjoy the leisure time agin. Next，discuss his horror and anxiety. Third，will narrate 16 poems about recluses of Han and Tang Dynasty. Finally, elaborate the Gao Qing Qiu 's care for livelihood of the people, as well as shocking from his death，the unfortunate issue. The seventh chapter is the conclusion. First, make a summary of Gao Qing Qiu 's whole life ,with view point of contradiction between functionary and recluse . Finally, for the future researchers, will suggest the possible directions.
