This thesis presents a chip design of three color RGB-LED which has more groups and more near to the synchronization of color change. In practically AC string wave is changed into 60Hz square wave as the reference signals for the color change of LED Driver IC. Two clock domain and PWM are applied as three color RGB-LED dimming of LED color mixing. In addition, our circuit structure makes the pulse produced by the pulse generator as a trigger signal of color change, to reach the multiple sets of chip, which can approach to the synchronization of color change. This circuit structure is able to make the human visual system generate a visual effect of synchronization of color change. The Xilinx FPGA Spartan 3E-250 system is used to verify the viability and stability of the proposed circuit. Finally, this circuit has been designed with TSMC 0.18μm 1P6M process. The chip size is 790μm x 790μm; the output ports can drive the three color RGB-LED for color change in 9Bits.
