Data were collected from 1121 students of junior high school in New Taipei City and analyzed by using statistical methods of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and regression analysis. The main findings of this study were as follows: 1.Junior high school students in New Taipei City had positive values about gender equality. 2.Junior high school students in New Taipei City had positive attitudes toward gender equality . 3.Junior high school students in New Taipei City had positive behavior and performance related gender equality. 4.In terms of gender equality, female students of junior high school in New Taipei City had more positive attitudes and behavior than male students. 5.The ninth grade students of junior high school in New Taipei City paid much more attention to values about gender equality than the eighth grade students did. 6.In terms of behavior and performance related to gender equality, the seventh grade students of junior high school in New Taipei City were more positive than the eighth and ninth grade students were. 7.High school students whose mothers were democratic in educational style paid much more attention to values about gender equality than those students whose mothers were permissive in educational style. 8.Students of junior high schools with 73 classes and above had more positive attitudes toward gender equality than those students whose schools with 25-48 classes. 9.Students of junior high school with 24 classes and below have more positive attitudes toward gender equality than those students whose schools with 49-72 classes. 10.There was no significant difference in students’ culture of gender equality by parents’ educational level and school size. Some suggestions were proposed based on findings of this study as a reference for educational administrative authorities, schools, teachers, as well as researchers for future studies.
