Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 動畫藝術與影像美學研究所 === 100 === ‘Mickey’- Disney’s anthropomorphic mouse, is now the most widely known iconic character from American culture in the whole world. In this thesis, I have investigated how Mickey Mouse was conceived in the 1920's, and how he matured and went on to lead the American public through the Great Depression of the 1930's onto the war and then peace of the 1940's. I develop the investigation into the psychology behind Mickey and how his three-circle face relates to C.G. Jung’s power of archetypes and how Disneyland grew to be what Jean Baudrillard refers to as an exemplar of hyperreality.
