| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 民族音樂學研究所 === 100 === The term of the “crossover music” has completely subverted traditional concepts of the classical、pop、jazz、world music、electronic music etc to limit the musical classification. Regarding the musical creation territory, it is not too much force to the type. According to the performer to improvise, the distinguishing the kind of the classification, and it is increasing more and more discord of music elements to put together creatively and feel the new sense of the heading consequence.
Crossover music is a kind of the cultural phenomenon that we can analysis it from three parts including economy、politics and human behavior. In economy part, we can discover crossover music influence the record markets, and I can illustrate some successful people who use the method of the crossover music to increase the markets of the sale volumes. In the politics, we can focus on the award of the education、hold the music festival activity and musical education as well as via elevation people in musical level and the acceptance. The musical creative thoughts and contents, the thoughts of the team and the methods of communication, and the brand of the music and contents uniqueness use the materials and the way to express are all belonged to analysis human behavior perspective. When we assemble the crossover music cultural phenomenon with the jazz music, you will find that it is the same. That means the jazz music is a kind of the crossover music. We pull together the soul music with the Caucasian culture、history、musical development and the ideal creation which used by many countries and nations to search their roots by the musical culture. The jazz music has its own space to develop in the of crossover music.
In my thesis, I take national jazz as a crossover music phenomenon to do the research. In addition to investigate the crossover musical from development、type、classification as well as it comes from different culture educational performers in creativity national musical by using their own interpretation and elements. Another issue will be focus on international ethnic cultural communication which comes from interaction countries’ musicians for the same topics. Multiracial musical combine their creations, different culture to each own country or national culture conflict, national to foreign cultural tolerance and populations to the fusion musical acceptance and so on, and I will analysis in both the cultural fusion phenomenon with the social impact issues. In addition to explore the types of crossover music and cultural phenomenon, and I will illustrate the band – Orbit Folks in national jazz creation for introduction and analysis, so readers can understand more about the national jazz cross-border performance and uniqueness the creative thoughts. There have both cultural phenomenon and musical creation to write in this thesis.
