Summary: | 碩士 === 東南科技大學 === 防災科技研究所 === 100 === A combination preozonation and biological activated carbon (BAC) processes are presented to treating landfill leachate from the plant in northern Taiwan. In this study removal efficiency of organics by chemical coagulation , Fenton advanced oxidation, granular activated carbon (GAC) adsorption , combination of UV and O3 and combination of UV and H2O2 were investigated.
The removal efficiency of organics in Fenton advanced oxidation is better than chemical coagulation. The jar test of GAC adsorption shows that optimal amount of activated carbon are 150 and 250g. major molecular of landfill leachate are Degradated by pre-treatment unit of combination of UV and O3 /H2O2. In combination of UV and O3, the removal efficiency of organics is better after the 60 minutes treatment of biological activated carbon Fluidized Bed.
At the first four days, only the GAC adsorption works. The concentration of chemical oxygen demand (COD) decreased because of BAC after then. The removal efficiency of organics had significantly different levels of amount of GAC. And adsorption isotherm had significantly different levels between GAC and BAC after 1.5 hours, even 10% difference after 144 hours.
