Some people pursuit truth, some are afraid of it. Among so many complicated illusions, we believe, truth is the only thing. In the First Chapter,to describe the truth covered by the general circumstance from “background”, I choose different positions and different perspectives to observe all the phenomena of the truth. I think calmly and wait still for the up-coming happenings. Chapter two begins with the discussion of simulation, how people use the material to mimic the real thing, and how different meanings are given to the same material in different generations. And then comes the discussion of metaphysics’ application in artworks, also the difference of interpretation between East and West. Chapter three focuses on the definition of “Truth” and the form of its existence. I begin my dialectic with the relationships between human and objects, human and human, human and events, from simple to complicate accordingly. Objects obscured because the place would be covered by the naked eye can see outside, we can only guess through some clues. Since the conversation between people is not tangible, the conflicts came from inconsonant understanding. The relationship of human and events came from the different “feelings” of the same event among people. One event can cause different responses from people. Internet connects people in the society, but it eventually makes people more distant to each other since it replaces the individuals and meets the content of people. We seem to be living in a “ostensibly peaceful” current moment. Chapter four introduces the methodology in works. With the experiments conducted, I explain the structure forming conditions and assumptions. It’s an executive of previous dialectic. Chapter five references three contemporary artists. Through the discussion of their ideas, form and display, I find the connections among works. Chapter six uses photos of selected artworks to illustrate their relationships. And I use the interaction of works and the exhibition space to conclude the writing. chi-man Lai 黎志文 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 41 zh-TW
