| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 新媒體藝術學系碩士班 === 100 === The animation “Nails” features anxiety. This short film narrates the compulsive behavior triggered by the pursuit of perfection. With the insignificant finger guessing “paper-scissors-stone,” “Nails” ironically ridicules people’s chasing for fame and fortune.
The thesis expounds on the creative process of this animation. Chapter One illustrates the connection between the topic-related works and the motive of creating “Nails.” Chapter Two explains the thematic concepts of compulsive behavior and anxiety. In addition, this chapter analyzes the keynote of black humor and the collage finesses of using digital equipments. Then, Chapter Three faithfully recalls the course of production; it is composed of the pre-production of visual and storyboard arrangement, the production of digitalization, and the retouch of dubbing and remixing. Lastly, Chapter Four summarizes the author’s reflections on this creation.
