碩士 === 臺北市立體育學院 === 舞蹈碩士班 === 100 === This essay focuses on Daoist Heyi Shrine in Tainan, dealing with history and doctrines of red-hat daoist as ell as Daoist ritual and ritual dance performed by them. The essay is divided into four parts. Part one deals with historical contexts of red-hat Daoist in Taiwan and the evolution of Heyi shrine in Tainan. Part two discusses type of ritual and ritual texts used by Heyi shrine and other ritual implements. It deals with transmission of Daoist tradition of Heyi shrine. Part three discusses different types of ritual by the Daosits in the shrine, including exorcism, ritual celebration of dity’s birthday.
