Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立體育學院 === 休閒運動管理學系碩士班 === 100 === Abstract This study aimed to explore the influences of intervention of a leisure sports program on elementary school students’ attitudes toward and habits of sports. The research subjects were 120 six-grade students from 4 classes selected from an elementary school in Sanchong District, New Taipei City through purposive sampling. The experimental group consisted of students from 2 of the classes (58 students). These students had participated in a curriculum designed by this study. And students from the other two classes were assigned to the control group (62 students). The data analysis methods adopted include statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, independent-sample t-test, and dependent-sample t-test, to compare the experimental group with the control group in attitudes toward and habits of sports before and after tests. And the research findings include: 1.Among elementary school students' attitudes toward sports, the score of the "sports cognition" was the highest for students all recognized the advantages of sports, followed by "sports affection", while the score of "sports behavior" was the lowest. 2.Among elementary school students’ habits of sports, most students did exercise twice a week. Most of their companions were their families and classmates. Exercise locations were mainly parks and schools. And the most common exercises were biking, basketball, and running. 3.After the intervention of the leisure sports program, students' attitudes toward sports were improved. The improvements in sports cognition, sports affection, and sports behavior were significant. Especially, the improvement in sports behavior was the largest. 4.After the intervention of the leisure sports program, students' habits of sports were improved. Their frequencies of doing exercise in weekday and holiday both increased. And they spent a lot more time in sports. 5.Both attitudes toward and habits of sports were not significantly different in the male and female experimental groups before the intervention of the leisure sports program. After the program, although the attitudes toward sports were still not different, male students' habits of sports were significantly better than female students', meaning the intervention of the leisure sports program was more efficient for male students. The conclusion of the study: The intervention of the leisure sports program helped the students to develop a positive attitude toward sports and improved their sporting habit. Thus, it is suggested that schools can arrange various and diversified sports programs when designing their physical education, offering time management curriculums, so that students can develop a positive attitude toward sports and good sporting habits in their lives in time.
