Description
Summary:碩士 === 台南應用科技大學 === 生活應用科學研究所 === 100 === The visual qualities of ornaments will make a great impact on the consumers’ shopping behavior and habits. Japanese handmade fashionable ornaments that feature “personality, unique, and multimedia” are popular with Taiwanese consumers. Tailoring ornament design to consumer tastes is a subject that warrants further exploration. This study aims to assess ornament design from both a consumer’s and a craftsmen’s point of view. The research involved cluster analysis of samples collected from Japanese handmade necklaces, in order to generate adjective copra and sample classifications. An element analysis was also conducted along with a Multiple Regression Analysis of styles and trends of Japanese necklace ornaments from 2009 to 2011. The results of these analyses will guide the principles of shaping and other applicable design patterns. Finally, the Kano Model application combined with the perspective of necklace design makes it possible for the researcher to assess the relationships among the attractive elements, the design attributes, and the consumers’ satisfaction. In so doing, the study reveals vitally attractive elements of necklace ornament design and delineates the basic references for necklace ornament design. A Kano model analysis of the basic and value-added quality of necklace ornaments helped to establish the policy and application of design. The results reveal that necklace ornament designs adhere to a two-dimensional model. The essential development policy dictates the design of removable and multi-part combinations to increasing customers’ satisfaction. According to the diagram of “satisfaction increase indices” and “dissatisfaction indices,” the study finds the ten most important factors of necklace ornament design to be in the “excellent area.” In addition, the findings reveal seven factors in the “to be improved area” for designers to decrease customers’ dissatisfaction.
