In a school, administrators stand as an important supportor to other fellow teachers while the latter are engaged in teaching work. Therefore, part-time administrators who are also teachers are believed to provide crucial human resources on campus. To offer students a better educational environment so as to gain better learning, a good administrative team on campus is indispensable. Therefore, how to choose a competent chief of an administrative section, for example, the equipment section, to assist with school affairs has become very crucial. To selelct the most adequate candidates and provide principals a more adequate critetia, Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Method is applied in this research to choose chief of equipment section in elementary schools. In this research, Fuzzy Delphi Method is applied to conduct an expert survey on elementary school principals and part-time chiefs of equipment section. Opinions are collected and analyzed by Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process and finally conclude some major criteria and weights for selecting chief of equipment section. The survey, by and large, shows that both the principals and chiefs of equipment section give weights to some five aspects and twenty-six principles to a certain degree though opinions from both sides are not exactly the same. This implies that both the five aspects and the twenty-six principles are highly representative. However, elementary school principals should choose the adequate criteria for chief of equipment section according to each schools’ situations and needs. Overall, the study provides suggestions and helps the school leaders to select a competent chief of equipment section and, therefore, boost the efficiency of the administrative department.
