By summing up merits and demerits with the traditional way, we propose a novel power factor correction method. In our method, the IC produced by the famous company PI is chosen to be the core of the correction circuit. We combine the traditional architecture with the chosen IC to accomplish a better correction circuit. The proposed circuit is analyzed by using Orcad Pspice which is developed by Cadence.
