| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 休閒運動研究所碩士班 === 100 === The study, aims to assess the relationship between recreation experience and environmentally responsible behavior for intertidal tourists in Taiwan. We developed a questionnaire using latent variables including recreation experience, environmentally responsible behavior, and demographic information for the intertidal tourists. Totals of 395 usable questionnaires were obtained. The descriptive statistics of characteristics and socio-demographic were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 for Windows. The confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model were analyzed by LISREL 8.80 for Windows. Empirical results indicated that experiential engagement and escapism constructs positively and significantly impacted general environmentally responsible behavior. The education, experiential engagement, and escapism constructs positively and significantly impacted specific site environmentally responsible behavior. However, esthetics did not significantly impact the general or the specific site environmentally responsible behaviors. Finally, this study presents data that support a number of practical managerial implications. Recommendations for further study are also given.
