Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 全球運籌管理研究所碩士班 === 100 === This research is to study the teacher’s attitudes about Teachers’ Professional Development Evaluation (TPDE) of the Yunlin junior high school. The stratified sampling method is used to collect data. Totally 361 teachers are sampled and 351 valid questionnaires are collected. The return rate is 97.2%. Statistical analysis includes descriptive statistics, t-test , and one-way ANOVA.
Conclusions of this study are as follows:
1. The purposes of the teacher evaluation are increase of teachers’ self-reflection and encouragement of teachers’ professional growth.
2. The best criteria of the teacher evaluation include firstly dedication to work , and secondly classroom management and instruction.
3. The best appraisers of the teacher evaluation are delegates of teachers'' association and teachers'' evaluation committee.
4. The best way of the teacher evaluation is through self - evaluation.
5. The preferred sources of the teacher evaluation are classroom observation , teachers’ self - checklist and student achievement records.
6. The notification of the teacher evaluation results should be confidential and in written format.
7. The main difficulty is teachers’ doubt of fair and objective evaluation criteria.
8. Diverse evaluation approaches are favored.
Findings of this study would be helpful to educational authorities , school teachers , and future studies in the implementation of TPDE on junior high school teachers.
